My journey to photography… Law Enforcement > Family Man > Photographer & Adventurer
I have spent much of my life seeing how quickly things can change. Before I became a family photographer, I served as a law enforcement officer; often meeting people on their hardest days and in those moments when the smallest details suddenly became the most important. Those experiences stayed with me. They taught me life is fragile, time is unpredictable, and the memories we hold closest are the ones we wish we had preserved better.
This perspective completely reshaped the way I view photography.
I don’t see it as simply making images…
I see it as preserved what matters most.
Now as a photographer, I am drawn to the honest fleeting interaction that families often overlook in the rush of daily life. I aim to capture the quick hug, the little hand reaching for a parent, or the way children look at their mom or dad with pure admiration. These are the moments that become priceless with time and the ones you’ll wish you could return to long after your kids have grown.
I understand that feeling deeply.
My own home is filled with framed images of my family; my kids laughing, exploring, traveling the world, or simply being themselves in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I didn’t realize how fast times passed until I looked at those images and saw the story of our life written across our walls. Each photograph brings back a memory, a sound, a laugh, or an adventure in life that otherwise would have quietly slipped away.
Those photos remind me everyday why I do what I do.
They remind me that a single image can bring comfort, joy, and connection.
That a wall can become a living timeline of love and growth.
That families deserve to see themselves the way they truly are; authentic, connected, and full of love.
Today, I photograph families who feel the same way. Families who value connection over perfection and who want artwork that remind them of what is truly important. My approach in calm, guided, and street free so you can be fully present while I capture the relationships and interactions that make your family unique.
Because at the end of the day, these moments are fleeting and the story you’re living right now deserved to be remembered.
If you’re a family who wants to slow down, connect, and fill your walls with images that spark joy, laughter, and cherished memories every time you walk by…
I’d be honored to help tell your story!
